Rick Pizarek Named President of Affinia’s Global Chassis Business

With its chassis business poised for continued growth, Affinia Group has appointed Rick Pizarek as president, Global Chassis, to lead the development and implementation of operational, sourcing and marketing strategies.

“Rick brings a unique understanding of our Global Chassis business, having served as vice president and general manager of Affinia’s Asian Operations in Shanghai from 2007 through 2010,” said Terry R. McCormack, president and CEO of Affinia Group.  “Given the increasing age of our nation’s private vehicles, our chassis business is well positioned to meet the growing needs of the aftermarket with a strong brand and world-class quality.”

Pizarek joined Affinia in 1995 as division manager for the McHenry manufacturing operations and also served as director of manufacturing for the Drum, Rotor and Foundry Group. He has served as vice president and general manager of Affinia’s Global Chassis Group since September 2010. Prior to joining Affinia, he worked with Allied Signal Braking Systems in a variety of management roles in operations, sales, marketing, product design and quality engineering.

A graduate of Purdue University, Pizarek holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering as well as an MBA from Indiana University.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors of QH-Talbros in Delhi, India.  With strong involvement in the local community, Pizarek previously served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of McHenry County, the McHenry County Community College Foundation, and the McHenry County Economic Development Corporation. He has been a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers for 34 years.
