Ken-Tool announces The DIY reCore TPMS Valve Stem Repair Kit

#aftermarket – Ken-Tool,  has announced the availability of the DIY reCore TPMS Valve Stem Repair Kit to automotive do-it-yourself enthusiasts.  This is the first kit on the market for consumers which allows them to repair their own damaged aluminum TPMS valve stems. The DIY reCore Repair Kit has huge market potentials, since there are over 400 million clamp-in style sensors on the road today, and many more added daily.

Introduced in 2012, the patented, and award winning reCore kit has been a hit with the tire service industry.  It has been used thousands of times to repair broken or corrosion-damaged aluminum valve stems on TPMS-equipped vehicles quickly and without removing the tire to replace the expensive TPMS sensor.  Over the past three years, vehicles repaired with reCore stems have logged millions of trouble-free miles in a wide range of climatic and environmental conditions.

The DIY reCore kit includes two repair stems, a custom stepped drill bit, a tap, tap holder, a valve core torque tool and a 2 ml vial of thread locker.  The customer must provide a high-speed drill, a pair of needle-nosed pliers, a means to re-inflate the tire plus eye protection to complete the repair.  The removal of the damaged tire stem and installation of the reCore stem replacement takes 15 minutes or less.

The 29975 Ken-Tool DIY reCore kit is packaged in a compact blister pack wall-hanger.  For more information about this and other professional tire service tools, visit www.kentool.com.
