The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF-FCA) wants to find out from the apprenticeship community how the CAF-FCA can provide young people with a better understanding of the value of apprenticeship and skilled trades careers.
They are hosting a National Symposium: Preparing Youth for Careers in the Skilled Trades on October 24-25 at the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel, Ottawa, ON. for apprenticeship participants.
The symposium aims to inform future CAF-FCA resources for youth, parents and educators that will get them excited about careers in the skilled trades.
It will include break-out sessions on pre-apprenticeship, women in trades, completion and apprentice mobility, explore the latest apprenticeship research findings from Statistics Canada, identify best practices and encourage discussion on topics like developing key messages to engage youth.
A number of discounted registrations are available for CAF-FCA members.
