PPG Introduces High-Production Clearcoat

PPG Canada has introduced Deltron DC4000 Velocity Premium Clear, a high velocity clearcoat designed for high production collision repair facilities.
The product is formulated to enhance productivity when doing multi-panel or overall repairs in either low-bake or air-dry conditions. Designed to complement Deltron DC3000, DC4000 uses the same hardeners and ancillary products and offers the same ease of application, but is more suited to multi-panel and large areas of repair in spray booth conditions.
Formulated to work with the Deltron Refinish System, this new high velocity clear delivers extremely short flash and dry polish times and requires only 10 minutes bake time when force drying at 140aF (60aC).
According to Debbie Nucciarone, product manager for PPG Canada, Its outstanding gloss retention means less polishing and greater customer satisfaction. The 10-minute bake time increases productivity and reduces energy cost, and the easy two-coat application delivers consistent results, reducing need for rework. In addition, the simple 4:1 mix ratio requires fewer products, reducing chances of mixing errors.
