EYE SPY: Ball joint blunder

Jay Ball of Jed’s Auto Repair in Cape Breton, N.S., sent us this picture a ball joint on a Chrysler Sebring.

Jay writes, “A customer came in the other day with a flat. We took the rear tire off to repair it and noticed something didn’t look right!”

When the guys at Jed’s showed the customer, he said it had been like that for some time.

“He was waiting for the weather to get warmer to fix it,” says Jay. “We advised him to repair the ball joint now, and thankfully he took our advice!”
