Continental partners with myMechanic…

Continental partners with myMechanic on roadside service workflow

Continental Tire has partnered with myMechanic to bring fleets, dealers and roadside service providers together and ready for emergency road service. The setup lets fleets send road calls, receive updates and track documentation in one place while continuing to work with the dealers and providers they already use.

“This partnership is about making roadside service easier to manage without changing the relationships fleets and dealers already rely on,” said Alex Bezzubets, founder and CEO of myMechanic.

“At Continental, we believe the future of roadside service is digital, connected and open,” said Niklas Vauth, head of digital transformation, Truck Tires Americas. “We are creating a service experience that improves fleet uptime while helping our dealer network grow through new service opportunities.”

The two companies have begun technical onboarding and the system is already in use. The move follows myMechanic’s launch of Dealer-Connect, which sends road calls directly to tire dealers without an app, login or call center handoff.

myMechanic has also joined Platform Science, Samsara, Thermo King and Carrier marketplaces, giving fleets using those telematics platforms access to its repair network. Fleets dispatching through myMechanic resolve roadside issues about 25 minutes faster than fleets relying on phone-based dispatch, compared with an industry average of 4 to 4.5 hours.
