ZF Aftermarket adds new EV repair kits

ZF Aftermarket has introduced new repair kits for electric motors, hybrid modules, inverters, mechatronics and electric drive unit reducers, giving workshops more component‑level repair options as electrified vehicles age.

The new E‑Mobility Repair Kit family builds on ZF’s experience producing more than six million OEM electric motors. More than 100 electric axle drive repair kit variants will be available in the coming weeks. ZF also offers OE‑quality remanufactured replacements, including about 2,400 remanufactured transmission SKUs.

At Automechanika Frankfurt, ZF highlighted new kits for hybrid module rotors and stators, remanufactured mechatronics for fourth‑generation 8HP transmissions, an inverter repair kit for hybrid applications and bearing‑focused repair solutions for electric drive unit reducers.

“The new solutions are an important next step in our Maintain‑Repair‑Replace strategy for electrified drivetrains,” said Markus Wittig, head of business line passenger cars at ZF Aftermarket. “They make repairability more accessible for workshops and show how ZF is transferring OE expertise into practical aftermarket solutions.”

ZF Aftermarket’s EV parts portfolio covers about 92 per cent of Europe’s Top 20 EV parc, spanning braking, steering, suspension, damping technologies, e‑drive fluids and electrified powertrain applications. Training and technical support are available through programs such as e‑Power Expert and ZF [pro]Tech.

ZF is also preparing for a more diverse EV parc. By early 2027, its European catalogue will include up to 200 references for Chinese vehicle brands, with plans to cover ten popular models by the end of 2027, reaching about 30 per cent workshop demand coverage.
