Motor Information Systems has enhanced their estimated work times for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.
The data is mapped to nine-digit Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards (VMRS), and adheres to the Auto Care Association’s Aftermarket Catalogue Exchange Standard (ACES), including the Product Classification database (PCdb).
The enhanced labour times are delivered via Motor’s secure, web-based data as a service (DaaS) platform providing data for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty in a single location.
“We are always eager to introduce new data solutions to the heavy-duty market,” says Jeff Nosek, Motor’s executive vice president, revenue. “This particular dataset has broad applicability; with real-world labour time estimates created by industry experts, these new data features offer fleets, dealership and shop management system developers, parts retailers and others the ability to better track and audit vehicle repairs at system, assembly and component levels. It also enables users to link labour to parts catalogues for estimating and e-commerce needs.”
