CASCAR Straps On Goodyear Belts and Hoses

Goodyear Canada’s Engineered Products Division today announced a multi-year partnership with the CASCAR racing series as a further step to significantly increase awareness of Goodyear’s automotive and truck aftermarket products.
"We are delighted to make this important announcement to support CASCAR a truly world-class series in Canada, " said Guy Enta, national sales manager, Goodyear Canada’s Engineered Products Division. "Our strategy is to leverage our involvement in CASCAR to increase support of our installers, jobbers and new customers. It also provides us with a tremendous opportunity to meet with drivers, race teams and owners on pit row and in the garage areas to further promote Goodyear Gatorback v-belts and hose," Enta said.
The company’s product line includes Goodyear Gatorback v-belts, belt tensioners, hose and air springs.
"As of today, Goodyear Canada becomes the official belt and hose of the CASCAR Super Series. We are also pleased to announce the ‘Goodyear Gatorback Belts and Hose Fastest Lap Award’ which takes place at four CASCAR Super Series events in 2003; The Canada Day Shootout at Cayuga Speedway, the Molson Indy Toronto, Race City Motorsports Park in Calgary, and the Molson Indy Vancouver. Following the race, a cheque for $1,500 will be presented by Goodyear to the CASCAR Super Series driver who achieves the fastest race lap at each of the four featured races," said Enta.
A season-end Goodyear Gatorback Belts and Hose Fastest Lap Award Champion will be determined based on the driver with the most fastest lap awards. The winning driver receives an additional $2,000 and Goodyear will match this amount and make a donation to the driver’s charity of choice in their name.
