AutoXray and Midtronics announced the launch of the new AutoXray EZ-Charge Check line of battery conductance testers designed specifically for use with the new EZ-Scan line of diagnostic scan tools at the Automotive aftermarket Product Expo (AAPEX) trade show.
AutoXray, the leading provider of cost-effective automotive diagnostic scanners, and Midtronics, the leader in battery management technology, combined their patented technologies and creative abilities to produce the first products in a new line of accessories to expand the functionality and capability of the EZ-Scan line.
The EZ-Charge Check offers the same core benefits of other Midtronics battery testers while offering additional capabilities based on the EZ-Scan platform and display. The basic model, the EZ-Charge Check 100, is a simple battery conductance tester with voltmeter functionality. Using conductance technology, the EZ-Charge Check 100 makes battery testing safe, fast and simple, and helps users find weak batteries before they fail. The EZ-Charge Check 200 adds additional test capabilities, including voltmeter functionality for capturing low voltage when starting and high voltage readings for testing the charging system.
"Midtronics is excited to provide another first-ever product to the automotive aftermarket," said Will Sampson, Aftermarket Director of Sales and Marketing for Midtronics. Sampson added, "Combining the leading battery testing technology from us with the leading automotive scanner from AutoXray is a real win-win situation for the manufacturers and the end users. It helps make Midtronics conductance testing technology available to more technicians and DIYers (do-it-yourselfers.)"
"We heard our EZ Scan customers asking for more in the way of battery information," said Bill Miller, President of AutoXray. "Today, with the EZ-Charge Check accessory, we are able to answer that call with a savvy new product that allows our customers to increase the value of their current EZ-Scan – which they are already familiar with – and protect themselves or their customers by identifying charging system problems early."
