The Automotive Service Councils of California (ASCCA) has signed an agreement to co-locate with Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW) 2010, bringing the number of events held under the ASRW umbrella to four. In addition to the ASCCA event, ASRW includes the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE), the Congress of Automotive Repair & Service (CARS), and Auto Glass Week, which makes it the industry’s leading event for true professionals to conduct business, network and engage in industry issues. ASRW is scheduled for Oct. 10-13 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
ASCCA will participate as an exhibitor of ASRW with a booth, a pavilion of service providers on the show floor, and will also host its Annual Conference and President’s Banquet in conjunction with ASRW Oct. 9 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel.
“We are excited about ASCCA’s involvement in ASRW this year. This is an event that was created for all segments of the industry and we’re pleased that ASCCA, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary during the event, is participating,” noted Jackie Miller, ASCCA executive director.
ASRW 2010 will mark its third year as an annual event. Specifically created as the must-attend event for anyone involved in the automotive service and repair industries, the addition of a new event is significant to ASRW’s continued growth and leverage as a leading industry event.
Monique Rice, ASCCA’s meeting manager, is equally enthused about the relationship. “This initiative is a major step in meeting industry requests for greater educational opportunities and gives ASCCA a great opportunity to educate and engage a national audience while offering us the benefit of enhancing the California repair shop owner’s educational experience.”
NACE and CARS are owned by the Automotive Service Association. Ron Pyle, ASA president, commented on the inclusion of ASCCA in this year’s event saying, “We are thrilled to include the ASCCA into ASRW 2010 and feel this strategic partnership will be mutually beneficial for everyone – particularly the industry. We welcome ASCCA and its members to ASRW and are excited about the value of this new partnership.”
