Golfers flocked to the west coast for a pair of big golf tournaments to help raise money for good causes.
On Aug. 5, the annual Sunday Monks teed off at the Northview Golf and Country Club in Surrey, B.C. Celebrating its 19th year, 48 golfers came out to raise $3,000 for High Fives for Kids Combined with the eastern edition, Hump Day Monks, donations to High Fives has reached more than $39,000 in its time.
The next day, 144 golfers hit the links for the annual Stan Kingshott West Coast Classic. Auto industry pros helped raise money for local charities throughout the event, which has been held since it was co-founded by the late Stan Kingshott in 1987 and is dedicated in his memory. Lordco Auto Parts is the title sponsor of the day.
