Amanda Ignatius joins Volvo Car Canada Ltd. as head of corporate and media communications and will drive corporate storytelling, media relations, product, brand, and internal communications for Volvo Cars’ Canadian operation.
Ignatius, a Wilfrid Laurier University and University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies graduate, most recently served as Senior Product Communications Manager at General Motors Canada.
While at GM, Ignatius led the planning and execution of vehicle launches, media events, auto shows and brand-building programs for Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Program highlights include the #BuickStyle Events which were recognized with multiple awards, including the 2019 Diamond SABRE Award for Superior Achievement in Brand-Building and Gold for Brand Development Campaign at the 2018 ACE Awards.
