Tenneco adds to strut offerings

The latest replacement strut assemblies announcement from Tenneco adds 24 part numbers, 14 of which offer exclusive coverage.

The Monroe Quick-Strut line – which has added 204 numbers since the start of 2018 – will see an additional 2.8 million vehicles covered as part of the announcement and will cover 13 domestic and 44 import applications.

Applications with exclusive coverage are the 2011-2016 Dodge Journey (rear), 2011 Jeep Compass (rear), 2011-2017 Jeep Patriot (front), 1999-2002 Kia Sportage (front), 2008-2010 Mitsubishi Lancer (rear), 2011-2014 Scion xD (front); 2014-2016 Toyota Corolla (rear).

Tenneco also expanded its Monroe OESpectrum struts, adding four part numbers covering 2016 Chevrolet Cruze and 2013-2014 Hyundai Sante Fe applications. The company also added OESpectrum rear shocks for 2008-2012 Infiniti EX35 models and two new Monroe Strut-Mate mounting kits covering 2012-2014 Hyundai Accent and several late-model Kia Forte applications.

“Shocks and struts work to keep a vehicle’s tires in contact with the road, helping the driver to maintain consistent handling and braking as well as limiting excessive vehicle body movement. Replacing worn struts helps to restore the vehicle to OE ride quality and performance as well as reduce premature wear of other suspension components,” said Adam Richardson, senior product manager, Tenneco North America Aftermarket. “By continuing to increase Monroe Quick-Strut coverage, we are providing our automotive service partners the opportunity to extend like-new ride quality and performance to more of their customers.”
