The NASCAR PInty’s season is underway and Spectra Premium is adding a new award to the mix.
The Spectra Premium Best Overtaker Award will go to the driver with the most positions gained between start and finish of a race. In the event of a tie, the driver with the highest number of driver points for that race gets the award.
The award comes with a $1,000 prize – and if the driver uses a Spectra Premium Racing Radiator, they will get an additional $500.
At the end of the season, a $7,000 Best Overtaker Award of the Year will be given to the driver who compiles the most positions gained during the season. If there’s a tie, the driver with the highest number of drivers point will win.
“Spectra Premium always seeks to encourage and reward great teamwork and performance. When a driver succeeds to overcome a difficult qualifying session with a great race, he can do so thanks to the hard work of all his crew in the paddocks and in the pits,” said Collin Francis, global director – strategic marketing at Spectra Premium.
