PartSource Auto Parts Stores Open in Ottawa

PartSource, a national chain of auto parts specialty stores, opened two new stores in Ottawa, Ontario today. The two 7,200 square foot stores opened at 1515 Bank Street (north of Heron Avenue) and 1508 Merivale Road, Nepean.
“We are excited to bring PartSource’s success to the nation’s capital,” says Bruce Allen, president, PartSource. “Ottawa is a great automotive city and we bring a superior automotive experience that do-it-yourselfers, automotive enthusiasts and professional installers can count on.”
These new stores follow the summer openings of two London stores, as well as a new store in Sarnia. PartSource will add another store in Regina this fall and a third Ottawa store in the spring. This will bring PartSource’s national total to 40 stores.
The new stores invest approximately $3 million in the city, providing construction and sub-trade employment as well as creating about 30 new retail jobs.
“Our new franchisees are key contributors to our success in Ottawa,” says Allen. “Bob Jenke and Mark Moxness are both local businesspeople who we welcome to the team.”
PartSource will have its Grand Opening at the two locations over four successive weekends. This includes visits by a Jeff Gordon NASCAR on Saturday, October18 and NHL Hall of Famer Bobby Hull on Saturday, November 1.
PartSource is a chain serving do-it-yourself automotive enthusiasts and the commercial auto parts market (professional installers). Each store is staffed with experienced auto parts professionals and licensed automotive technicians who share the customer’s passion for cars and trucks. New store staff are chosen based on their ability to help customers with all their auto parts needs.
“We are determined to offer customers the best experience and earn the right to be Ottawa’s source for auto parts. Whether they are working on their own vehicles or are professional installers, we have the parts, professional service and competitive pricing that our customers demand,” says Allen.
Each store carries a broad inventory of automotive parts and accessories tailored to reflect the area’s vehicle population. Brand names include Bosch, Fram, Monroe, Wagner, Quaker State, NGK, TRW and Borg Warner & Maremont products. In addition to automotive parts, the new stores will carry a variety of name brand convenience and accessory items, including seven national brands of motor oil, five brands of spark plugs and three brands of oil filters.
With thousands of auto parts in stock, staff can also access an additional 45,000 parts on a same day or overnight basis from distribution centres that service all of Canada. PartSource has a delivery capability that allows it to deliver products to professional installers when they are needed, often within 30 minutes.
