Wynn’s Canada has announced a new Roadside Assistance Program for customers of Wynn’s service operations. The new program protects consumers for 120 days after a Wynn’s service has been performed on the vehicle with Wynn’s chemicals. The program is no cost to both the consumer and installer. Technicians can call their local Wynn’s distributor for details, or 1-800-668-5626.

Davies Electric Co. Ltd. has ceased shipping automotive supplies to the Calgary and rural Alberta markets. The Alberta automotive assets of Davies Electric have been purchased by the Active Automotive Group and will operate out of the Bumper to Bumper location at #1, 1825-32nd Ave. NE Calgary. The Davies business in Saskatoon is unaffected and will continue to serve professional automotive installers.

Uni-Select has announced the appointment of Dov Lidor to the position of vice-president, business development, Uni-Select Eastern. Lidor has over 20 years of industry experience and will report to Automotive Group Canada executive vice president Michel Maheux.

Michel Rondeau, director of marketing, CARQUEST CANADA LTD., has announced that Yves St-Aubin has been promoted to the position of Director, Professional Markets and National Accounts. Previously, St-Aubin was national accounts director for the firm. St-Aubin will be responsible for developing, marketing and coordinating CARQUEST CANADA’S Professional Markets programs (AutoPLACE Automotive Repair Professionals and Vehicle Service Centre), as well as national accounts.
