PPG to acquire glass software company

Portland, Oregon-based PPG Industries Inc. has announced plans to acquire GlasPac Total Solutions (GTS), a producer of desktop business management software for the auto glass replacement industry. GTS, which will be renamed GTS Services, LLC, has installed its application in over 3,200 glass installation and replacement shops in Canada and the U.S. PPG’s LYNX Services, a leading administrator of auto glass claims serving the insurance and glass industries, plans to computerize and streamline the entire process of replacing auto glass, connecting suppliers, glass installers, insurance companies and car owners. Similar enhancements are anticipated for distributors and glaziers.
