Ontario schools, students enthusiastic about Castrol oil program

Ontario high schools have shown great enthusiasm for Wakefield Canada’s High School Synthetic Education program.

Offered in the spring to 369 Ontario high schools with automotive education programs, with 69 per cent or 239 schools having signed up for the program

Chad Cole, trade marketing manager for Wakefield Canada in Toronto said he was enthusiastic about the response amongst Ontario’s high schools.

“We had a lot of very good coverage when the announced the program for Ontario and many people already knew about the program and wanted to take part.”

The program is already in place in British Columbia and Alberta where it has also proven itself successful. The High School Synthetic Education program provides synthetic oil education kits which include an ASE-certified synthetic oil training DVD and test, a case of Castrol synthetic 10W-30 oil and an official Castrol Banner that can be placed in the school’s shop.

On June 1st, Wakefield Canada will conduct a draw and award a $1,000 education scholarship to one student from each province who has passed the Castrol Synthetic Education program.

Schools wishing to submit students for the draw are asked to email those student’s names and information to castrolscholarship@wakefieldcanada.ca. Schools looking to enroll in the High School Synthetic Education program should contact 1-888-CASTROL.
