AllData boosts its Master Technician diagnostic hotline

AllData is expanding its diagnostic and repair hotline service, ‘AllData Tech-Assist’. The program makes it easier for shops to get in touch with AllData tech assistants when they need help with a repair.

The expansion for the program is made up of ASE certified master technicians and seasoned diagnostic experts. New advances to the program allow for shops to contact AllData technicians any day of the week and give shops an unlimited number of calls per vehicle to ensure all issues are repaired.

“The expansion of AllData Tech-Assist aligns with our mission to provide the highest level of professional support when shops need help with challenging diagnostic or repair issues,” said Mitch Major, vice president of commercial support, AutoZone, and president of AllData. “Being staffed by ASE-Certified Master Technicians – many of whom have decades of experience – and having the resources of our extensive technology database puts AllData Tech-Assist at the forefront of automotive repair hotline services.”

The diagnostic hotline provides help with the use of live video streaming. Customers can download the free Rescue Lens app to connect with an AllData technician. The app allows the tech assistant to ‘draw’ on the screen to point out the exact issue and provide a solution.

AllData is offering repair shops to try Tech-Assist for free using one case per shop location. The hotline service is also available for a monthly subscription.
