Bestbuy Distributors celebrates members, partners

Shareholder members and vendor partners of Bestbuy Distributors gathered in Toronto last week to celebrate milestones, network and take part in the company’s annual show at its warehouse.
From the celebrations, the Horace J. Pratt/Vendor of the Year 2025 was awarded to Magnacharge Batteries.
Bestbuy added a new recognition, the Dale Devlin Legacy Award, which went to Doug Wilson.
This was “in recognition of his enduring leadership, unwavering commitment, and many years of dedicated service to the Bestbuy Distributors board of directors,” the company said. “Doug’s steady guidance, integrity, and passion for the organization have helped shape Bestbuy’s continued growth and success, leaving a lasting impact on the company and its shareholders.”
Wilson ended his tenure as chair of Bestbuy and chose not to seek re-election. Joining him in retirement from the board was long-time director and treasurer Rob Dow, “whose years of dedicated service helped strengthen the organization and support its continued success,” Bestbuy said.
And it was during the annual general meeting where Michael MacPherson of Down East Auto Parts was named new board chair. Joining him on the board are:
“The election of two new directors marks the beginning of a new chapter for Bestbuy’s governance,” Bestbuy said.
Bestbuy also recognized milestone member anniversaries, with Peterborough Automotive marking 40 years. Other anniversary milestones are:
On May 30, Bestbuy opened its doors to its warehouse where vendors set up tabletop displays for members.
