There are deals to be had on used vehicles, but those deals appear to be better in some of Canada’s biggest cities.

New data from Compare the Market found that used car prices vary widely across Canadian cities, with some urban centres offering significantly better deals than others on popular models like the Ford F150, Toyota RAV4, Honda Civic, and Honda CR-V.

Toronto came out on top for affordability, offering the lowest average price for a used Ford F150 at $29,462. The city also ranked third cheapest for both the Toyota RAV4 ($29,057) and Honda Civic ($19,296).

Montreal was the most affordable city for SUVs, with the Toyota RAV4 averaging $27,969 and the Honda CR-V coming in at $19,571 — the lowest prices in the country for those models.

Quebec City offered the cheapest Honda Civic at $18,445 and ranked second for both the Ford F150 ($30,460) and Honda CR-V ($20,027).

On the flip side, Winnipeg and Edmonton were the most expensive cities for used cars.

Winnipeg had the highest average prices for the Toyota RAV4 ($34,478) and Honda CR-V ($31,491), and the second-highest for the Honda Civic ($24,364). Edmonton topped the list for the most expensive Honda Civic at $25,284 and also posted high prices for the Ford F150 ($35,870) and Toyota RAV4 ($33,435).
