Ron Woodworth, retiring after six decades in the transmission business, was the subject of a profile in the Hamilton Spectator today.

Ron Woodworth, owner of Danny’s Transmission in Hamilton, Ont., got the star treatment in the local paper today.

The Hamilton Spectator did a very nice write-up about the 83-year-old’s pending retirement after six decades in the business. The store, in the city’s east end, is closing down tomorrow.

He told reporter Jeff Mahoney that a gratifying part of the job was finding ways to save customers money.

“I enjoy what I do,” he said, “but the time has come.”
