Three-day Powerstroke engine training coming to Surrey in September

B.C. Diesel and California-based ATSS Training are expecting another sell-out weekend of training in September for a special three-day Ford Powerstroke Diesel Training Event in Vancouver, B.C.

Instructor Mike Cleary, an eight-time award winning Ford Motor Company certified senior master technician, and a Powerstroke diesel engine specialist, will be covering 6.0L, 6.4L, and 6.7L engine diagnostics at the Sept. 6-8, event – one engine each day.

Early bird discounts expire Aug. 2.

The 6.0L engine was added to the line-up due to popular request, even though that engine hasn’t been produced in over 10 years.

“I overwhelmingly still receive more tech help requests on this engine control system than any of the other Powerstroke Diesel engines,” said Cleary.

To gauge participant competency, he has created a 6.0L questionnaire on the event’s registration and information form.

The classes are not general overviews, he said, but are, rather, intensive and comprehensive, covering:

  • High Pressure Fuel System
  • Cooling, Lubricating, and Air Management Systems
  • Exhaust Aftertreatment System
  • Emissions and Fuel Economy Topics
  • Powerstroke systems and subsystems strategies and operation
  • PCM Inputs and Outputs
  • Increase your knowledge of various electronic engine control system components
  • Troubleshooting shortcuts to increase your efficiency
  • Technical Tips, Technical Service Bulletin Info, and other “Need To Know” Info

The event will be held at B.C. Diesel Truck Repair, 14620 – 64th Ave., Unit #116 in Surrey, B.C.

To register, contact ATSS at P.O. Box 27522; Fresno, CA 93729 or phone: (559) 307-7349.
