SMP expands engine sensors

SMP expands engine sensors

Standard Motor Products expanded its coverage across multiple engine sensor categories to support the growing complexity of modern internal combustion engine systems.

The Standard engine sensor lineup includes camshaft and crankshaft position sensors, battery current and voltage sensors, mass air flow sensors, manifold absolute pressure sensors, coolant temperature sensors, throttle position sensors, fuel pressure sensors, and more. Recent additions include new MAP sensors for General Motors vehicles through the 2025 model year, as well as Ford applications such as the 2021–2025 F‑150, 2018–2023 Transit Connect, and 2021–2024 Bronco. New MAF sensors expand coverage for more than 2.2 million Lexus, Toyota, and Cadillac vehicles through 2024.

Coolant temperature sensors have been added for popular models, including the 2020–2023 Chevrolet Silverado and 2021–2023 GMC Yukon. Battery current and voltage sensors now cover vehicles such as the 2020–2025 Nissan Sentra, 2018–2024 Jeep Wrangler, and 2019–2025 Lexus ES300h. In addition, new engine oil level sensors provide coverage for more than six million Toyota and Lexus vehicles through the 2025 model year.

Advanced technologies such as variable valve timing and turbocharging depend on precise, real‑time data from multiple sensors, making accuracy and durability critical to proper engine performance. Standard engine sensors are engineered to deliver reliable data under demanding conditions and are extensively tested to ensure long‑term performance.
