Those looking for reproduction grills for classic Pontiac vehicles are in luck.

Classic Industries has announced the launch of reproduction grills for 1972 Pontiac Firebird and Trans Am models.

The parts are original equipment reproductions and manufactured from injection-molded factory materials, the company said. Like the original, the parts are pre-assembled with the chrome plated die-cast outer ring.  The grills are finished in silver paint for standard Firebrand models. A silver finish with a black-painted inner mesh is designed for Trans Am models.

“Grills experience the brunt of road wear during the lifetime of a vehicle,” Classic Industries said in a news release. “Generally made from plastic, they are exposed to the elements, which can cause major damage over time — everything from exposure to the sun, flying objects and debris can leave a front grill faded, cracked or broken. Finding a suitable replacement can be a challenge, due to the absence of quality aftermarket components and a lack of available new old stock.”
