Quick fix for hazy headlights

3M has a new product to fix hazy headlights. The Quick Headlight Renewal can remove light haze in 10 minutes, restoring surfaces and improve visibility.

It’s a one-time solution, part of routine care and maintenance, says 3M. The renewal kit is a two-step process. The company instructs users to clean the area with soap and water first. Then use the sanding disc to remove surface defects and yellowing. Wipe down the headlights with the rubbing compound until the surface is polished and clear.

3M says the product can restore lightly damaged lenses, which can help improve visibility at night or while driving in poor weather. It works on most plastic lenses, including taillights, snowmobiles, emergency vehicle bars and plastic motorcycle lights.

“Headlights are one of the most important aspects of car maintenance,” said Darcy Backman, global marketing manager at 3M Auto. “However, they’re often overlooked by drivers.”
