IWI Motor Parts has joined The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance as its newest shareholder.
The Iowa-based parts distributor is a second-generation family-owned business that opened in 1962. The company started in a family station wagon that travelled to local gas station selling filters, plugs, and other engine components. Its name is an acronym for the areas in which it operates (Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois).
“We are tremendously excited to welcome IWI Motor Parts as our newest affiliate,” said John R. Washbish, president and CEO of the Alliance. “IWI’s focus on family and commitment to service makes it a great fit for the Alliance.”
IWI has nearly 240 employees with 13 warehouses.
“IWI management is looking forward to becoming a member of the Alliance,” said T.J. Faley, president of IWI Motor Parts. “The Alliance has long had a reputation for being the best buying group in the aftermarket. The Alliance integrity, honesty, and quality are characteristics we admire. IWI’s philosophy will align perfectly with the Alliance Motto ‘Service is the difference, we get it.’”
