Limited seats are available – at no charge – for a new human resources conference aimed at automotive professionals.
The Automotive Industries Association of Canada’s first-ever HR Symposium will be held June 13, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Toronto, immediately preceding the association’s annual two-day Women’s Leadership Conference.
According to AIA, the mini-HR conference is intended to help small to medium-sized aftermarket businesses gather insights and knowledge that will lead to a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Among other things, it will cover best practices in hiring, retaining, and advancing more women in the automotive industry.
This event will feature a new HR toolkit designed to assist businesses adopt best practices to create and maintain an inclusive workplace culture. The kit includes sample interview questions to use, questions to avoid, and reference check templates. Participants will get a free copy.
There will also be a presentation from Keynote Group Inc., the AIA partner that helped develop the toolkit. They will dive into how to implement best HR practices through practical solutions and examples.
The 2018 Women’s Leadership Conference will bring women in the automotive aftermarket industry together June 13 and 14 to empower, inspire, and learn from each other. Coming from all aspects of the industry, the conference is open to all women in professions of the aftermarket industry including: technicians, shop owners, engineers, business management, marketing, sales, product management, manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, retail, consulting, media, industry associations and more.
The program includes presentations from well-known industry women, motivational speeches, round tables and break-out sessions, and several networking opportunities.
