Progressive Automotive Systems (PAS) says it will launch a multi-lingual platform of its R.O. Writer shop management software in the first quarter of 2013.
The multi-lingual platform will initially be offered to independent automotive service centers in Mexico and Canada, with a secondary roll-out to emerging South American markets and beyond in the latter half of 2013.
“The addition of the multi-lingual platform allows us to serve the needs of growing international markets,” said Steve Smith, COO, PAS. “We chose to release this in Canada and Mexico to meet the needs of current R.O. Writer customers, and interested multi-shop owners.”
In addition to the multi-lingual platform, R.O. Writer recently released new features that allow the user to accurately identify required parts and labor to build an accurate estimate and maximize margins. Its enhanced parts sourcing through NAPA PROLink allows the user to compare pricing and automatically calculate profit margins. Additionally, the new multi-store management option enables users to instantaneously access vehicle repair information from multiple locations.
“The rapidly changing automotive service market demands evolving technology and a responsive company,” said Steve Smith, COO of PAS. “We are aggressively enhancing the R.O. Writer software to ensure it continually meets and exceeds the needs of today’s tire & automotive service shops.
The R.O. Writer Software is an intuitive tool that helps streamline the estimate and work order process. Currently, over 5,000 independent automotive service retailers rely on R.O. Writer to help them gain a competitive edge in their markets.
