May vehicle sales up throughout Canada: DesRosiers

DesRosiers Automotive Consultants is reporting strong vehicle sales throughout Canada in May.

According to the analysts, a strong May across Canada led to a strong May in almost every province with all but New Brunswick seeing double digit increases in light vehicle sales for the month.

Prince Edward Island led all provinces with a sales increase of 38.2 percent but the true strength in the Canadian market was in the west with British Columbia experiencing a 28.9 percent increase, Alberta up by 21.2 percent, Saskatchewan up by 18.9 percent, and Manitoba up by 15.3 percent.

Central Canada was weaker by comparison – although even there sales were up in May year.
