Hennessey Tunes 2016 Cadillac CTS-V…

Hennessey Tunes 2016 Cadillac CTS-V To 1000 HP

#aftermarket – Hennessey  has announced plans for an upgrade package for the already-potent 2016 Cadillac CTS-V that will boost power output to an astounding 1000 hp.

As it comes from the factory, the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V is a staggeringly capable car. With 640 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque out of its 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V-8, the CTS-V is claimed to hit 200 mph right out of the box. To bring the CTS-V up to the 1000 hp mark, however, Hennessey plans to ditch the stock Eaton TVS1740 supercharger and will replace it with a pair of turbochargers. Along with new camshafts, cylinder heads, fuel injectors, and electronics, that should produce 1000 hp at 6500 rpm, Hennessey says.

To manage all of that power, the HPE1000 is slated to receive large carbon ceramic brakes, bespoke lightweight wheels wrapped with wider and stickier tires, along with a new body kit with flared fenders to ensure the wider wheels fit correctly. The interior receives Hennessey’s special touch as well, with special badging and trim materials.

Hennessey previously made headlines with his 1066-hp version of the last-generation CTS-V Coupe, which cracked 220 mph on a closed public road. With this in mind, President of Hennessey Performance John Hennessey believes the 2016 CTS-V will have the gumption to go even faster. “[The old car] was still pulling on when we ran out of road. I believe that our 2016 twin-turbo CTS-V will have a top speed approaching 240 mph,” he said in a statement.

The HPE1000 twin-turbo kit for the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V will be limited to 24 units, with pricing yet to be announced. For those made of weaker stuff, Hennessey will also soon offer tuning packages that bring the 2016 CTS-V up to 750 or 800 hp.
