Hankook Tire Displays Market Leadership…

Hankook Tire Displays Market Leadership at SEMA 2010

Hankook Tire, currently the seventh largest and one of the fastest growing tire manufacturers in the world, is announced its presence at the 2010 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas, held November, 2 – 5, 2010.

SEMA is the world’s premier automotive specialty products trade event and attracts more than 100,000 industry leaders from over 100 countries in the automotive, truck and SUV, and RV markets. It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place.

Hankook’s presence at SEMA reflects the growing importance of the North American market for the company’s future business strategy. During the show Hankook gave an overview of its market leadership with a new products showcase and expanded motorsports marketing programs including appearances by its celebrity drivers for 2011.

“The North American market has always been important to our brand, and now more than ever Hankook is investing its resources in this region, including Canada” said Bill Hume, vice-president of Hankook Tire Canada. “We understand how important it is to keep up with market trends so we continue to invest not only in technology and manufacturing capacity but also in our marketing communications initiatives. We believe this will develop brand equity and drive more business to Hankook dealers.”

At its booth, Hankook is showcased its latest technology such as the new Ventus V2 Concept High Performance All-Season tire. The tire sports a wide range of technological innovations that give consumers an unmatched driving experience. A patented design and special compounds allow the Ventus V2 Concept to match the performance capabilities of most summer tires, but with twice the snow traction of its predecessor.

Complimenting the launch of the Ventus V2 Concept, Hankook is also “previewing” several other tires in development including:

* “enfren Eco” Hankook’s new high performance tire specifically designed to minimize energy consumption for maximum fuel efficiency vehicles such as the Toyota Prius and Honda Civic Hybrid.

* “Dynapro HT” Hankook’s premium all-season performance tire for light trucks, vans and sport utility vehicles. Developmental testing shows this new tire will excel in snow traction and braking performance.

* “Optimo H426” Hankook’s next generation all-season grand touring performance tire. The new Optimo will sport 20 per cent lower rolling resistance than its predecessor.

Strategically increased O.E. fitments along with steadily increasing dealer and consumer demand for its replacement tires have contributed to Hankook Tire’s recent success and the future looks even brighter as the company continues to grow and invest in its future.
