General Motors of Canada Plant Leads in North American Productivity

General Motors of Canada Oshawa Car Plant #1 placed first overall among all assembly plants in North America at 16.79 hours per vehicle in the 2002 Harbour Report released
today, making it the most productive vehicle assembly plant in North America. The Oshawa truck plant was named the best full-size truck plant at 20.59 hours per vehicle.

GM Oshawa Car Plant #1 produces the Chevrolet Monte Carlo and Impala passenger cars. GM recently announced the addition of a third shift at plant # 1 to meet the very strong North American demand for the Chevrolet Impala.
