FRAM Launches Extra Guard Plus and Ultra Oil Filters

Guarding your car’s engine from dirt and contaminants will soon reach a whole new level as FRAM adds two new premium oil filters in 2012 to its line-up. The new filters, FRAM Extra Guard Plus and FRAM Ultra, tout some of the best media quality and extended mile options available to consumers.

“When it comes to ensuring proper engine function and oil flow, choosing a high-quality oil filter is key,” said Jim Brown, marketing leader for FRAM. “After extensive product development and testing, we’re excited to offer consumers two new premium oil-filter options that couple superior media quality with increased filter life.”

With the addition of FRAM’s Extra Guard Plus filter and FRAM’s Ultra filter, its comprehensive line-up helps consumers find the ideal filter to help keep their engine running strong.

Lasting up to 16,000 kilometers, the FRAM Extra Guard Plus incorporates an improved synthetic cellulose media blend that traps 99 per cent of all dirt and particles. In addition, it incorporates strengthened nitrile silicon for six times the engine protection of other premium products.

Equipped with dual-layer synthetic media and reinforced by metal screen insets, FRAM Ultra provides exceptional performance lasting 24,000 kilometers. The external, anti-drain gasket contains enhanced nitriles for ultimate engine protection and performance. In addition, the filter is optimized for use with synthetic and conventional motor oils.

Both Extra Guard Plus and Ultra are equipped with SureGrip technology to ensure easy installation and removal. As with all FRAM products, the two new filters undergo rigorous testing to ensure they are able to withstand even the most extreme engine environments.
