Wynn’s closes warranty business

Wynn’s Canada Ltd., closed the Wynn’s Warranty Division on July 31, 2002. According to the company, the closing of this segment of the business will free Wynn’s to focus on their core business, the Specialty Chemicals Division. The Specialty Chemicals Division sells automotive chemicals, equipment and shop supplies to car dealers and independent service facilities under the Wynn’s X-Tend brand and to retailers under the Wynn’s brand. Geoff Woolley, Vice President and General Manager, Wynn’s Canada Ltd., confirmed that current Wynn’s warranty customers will be unaffected by the change: “All existing warranties will be honoured, and our claims adjusters will address any claims that may arise.”
