Karbelt Speed & Custom celebrated its 50th year in business with its annual trade show and customer appreciation night.
Karbelt, which has held a karting night prior to show day each of the past three years, saw a good turnout for its show, which also featured the attendance of Miss Hurst Golden Shifter, Linda Vaughn. Vaughn, who has been an indelible part of the performance industry for more than 30 years, was encouraged by the strong sales that traditional performance products continue to get.
“I think that the reason Karbelt is so popular up here is that if you look, we’ve got Holley, and Mr. Gasket, and Hurst, and all these other names. They’re all quality names. It goes to show you that people still want performance and quality.”
Overall, exhibitors and visitors reported that, while the largest growth sector is in the sport compact category, the traditional performance lines have continued to stay strong.
