TERK Technologies XM Universal Tuner Box operates in conjunction with a satellite radio-ready aftermarket in-dash car stereo and enables users to receive XM Satellite Radio using their existing car stereo controls. Designed for quick and easy installation, the XM Universal Tuner Box makes it possible for virtually any vehicle with a satellite radio-ready head unit to receive the wide variety of XM Satellite Radio programming, which offers more than 130 channels of music, entertainment, news and sports channels in crystal-clear digital sound quality.

Ideal for installation both at the time of initial new-car purchase or as an aftermarket sale, the XM Universal Tuner Box is used with a TERK Smart Digital Adapter as a two-part XM Direct system that allows XM Satellite Radio service to be seamlessly installed into a satellite-ready head unit. Once connected, users can access all XM Radio stations and functions using the same controls of their car stereo, without the need to install separate controls.

The Universal Tuner Box installs quickly and invisibly in any vehicle. Its compact size allows it to be located out of sight behind a dashboard or other convenient location, and its integral mounting brackets enable it to be secured using tie-wraps or fasteners. The Universal Tuner Box includes an antenna input, plus all necessary connections to link any of the Smart Digital Adapters. The first Smart Digital Adapters introduced are for Sony, Pioneer and Kenwood head units.
