EyeSpy: Why this engine was purring

Franco Atanasovic, a licensed technician at Papineau Motors in Powerview, Man., got a bit of a fright when he lifted this 2005 Toyota Camry for an oil change. He saw something fluffy hanging down from the lower splash shield. And it was wagging. Turns out, it was a young cat who’d ridden in style for the two kilometre drive from his home. “I had a co-worker hold the splash shield as I removed the screws and we slowly lowered it until I could safely grab the cat,” Franco says. “I then proceeded to carry the cat to our front counter to show my boss what we’d found.” The customer was in the waiting room, surprised to see his pet become the centre of attention!  “We were all suprised the cat did not fall out or get hurt along the way,” says Franco. “It’s something you don’t see everyday, that’s for sure!”
