Eye Spy: Bungee steering

Eye Spy: Bungee steering

The owner of this Chevrolet Tahoe came in to Fort Gasland Hart Transmission in Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. with steering issues. He explained to technician, Ed Cender that when turning corners was difficult, and that it wasn’t working as it should.

After a quick inspection, Ed noticed a bungee cord wrapped around the steering column. He says, “Every time he turned a corner, the steering column would pull the bungee cord tighter—making turning difficult. We had a good laugh at this one! Never in my 23 years as a technician have I seen this before.”
