With your continued support, the SHAD’S R&R Golf Tournament for Muscular Dystrophy has surpassed $4.8 Million Dollars in total contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Last year, at the close of our 2017 tournament, a cheque for $175,000.00 was presented.

The proceeds from the annual golf tournament have been invested in world-class research projects that are helping to answer questions about neuromuscular disease and finding ways to improve the medical care and quality of life for the young children that are affected by these conditions.

By partnering with other funding organizations, MDC is able to double – and sometimes triple – the impact of your research dollars.

Your ongoing support provides the availability of funds to ensure research will continue towards a cure for Muscular Dystrophy. To-date, we’ve made great progress! As well, it enables Muscular Dystrophy Canada to improve the quality of life for those already afflicted with the disease.
