Another automotive industry organization will be joining Industry Week and NACE | CARS 2014 in Detroit this summer. The Equipment & Tool Institute (ETI) will hold their board meeting Tuesday, July 29, at The Westin Book Cadillac.
Dan Risley, ASA president and executive director, stated “We are thrilled to have ETI join us in Detroit this year. This is a very important and respected organization and their support is significant to Industry Week. The overriding purpose of the event is to bring the industry together, and ETI’s involvement is another example of collaboration.”
“The Equipment and Tool Institute is pleased to be holding our Summer Board of Directors Meeting in Detroit in conjunction with Industry Week,” said Jessie Korosec, ETI meeting and event manager. “The Westin is an excellent venue and we are looking forward to a successful meeting.”
Along with ETI, other industry organizations will host meetings, events, and/or exhibit during Industry Week including I-CAR, CIC, ASE, CEICA, NABC, SCRS, CCIF, OEM Collision Repair Roundtable, and CREF. Each of these organizations brings important perspective from different segments of the market. They also bring key industry representatives who will attend NACE | CARS 2014, North America’s largest auto collision and service repair event. And this year’s event offers more training, education and networking for collision and mechanical repair professionals than ever before.
In addition to the industry meetings taking place throughout the week, there will be numerous tours and recreational outings for spouses, guests, and families. Some of these events include museum tours, Detroit Tigers baseball games, river and city tours, casinos, and much more. More information on Detroit can be found through the Convention & Visitor’s Bureau at www.visitdetroit.com.
Now in its 32nd year, NACE | CARS will feature numerous opportunities for technical training, business education, demonstrations, networking and technology showcases for stakeholders, owners, managers and technicians in the collision and service repair industries. Registration discounts apply to ASA members as well as members of key organizations. There are also discounts for I-CAR trained and ASE certified staff and repair facilities.
For those interested in attending, registration is now open for NACE | CARS and hotel reservations can be made via the Travel section of the website, www.NACEexpo.com or www.CARSevent.com.
