Unbelievable Luck!

Unbelievable Luck!

Editor: Bill Martens of Greenacres Wheel Alignment of Chilliwack, B.C. relates an incredible tale of a lucky motorist who made it through the Rockies with minimal steering…

Dear Jim:

We operate a wheel alignment shop in Chilliwack, B.C. One afternoon a Rambler comes in for a quick alignment, as the customer was in a hurry, having driven from Calgary and needing to be in Vancouver that night. He said, “It wanders”. He didn’t tell me that his Pitman arm had come undone in the canyon; he had found some coat hangers in the trunk and made a “good job” of hooking it back up! I rushed home for my camera and ‘phoned the RCMP. The next day we installed a new Pitman arm and got him off our lot. Talk about haywire!

Thanks,

Bill Martens and Sons,

Greenacres Wheel Alignment, Chilliwack B.C.
