Total launches Elf Solaris synthetic oil

Total announced the availability in the Canadian marketplace of its Elf Solaris line of synthetic motor oils. Solaris is made for use with low-sulfur diesel systems. The line of 5W-30-high-performance synthetic lubricants is formulated for newer vehicles with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and other post-treatment filters, such as those used on Mercedes Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Nissan automobiles. The low sulfur, ash and phosphorus content extends the life of the DPF.
