The answer to ball joint failure in GM light trucks

Moog Chassis Parts has developed an exclusive Problem Solver ball joint that addresses the premature wear of upper ball joints on General Motors S-10 and S-15 Series light trucks and sport utility vehicles. According to Moog, ball joints used in many of today’s light trucks and SUVs experience high lateral loads, often resulting in radial deflection. This increased “play” or sideways movement can lead to premature failure of the ball stud or socket. To eliminate excessive radial deflection, Moog engineers created a patented cover-plate configuration and NASCAR-proven split-bearing technology that maintain optimum ball-to-bearing contact for exceptional load-carrying capacity.
