Philips Automotive Lighting announced the availability to the aftermarket of the Philips NightGuide headlamp bulbs. Designed to be superior to standard Halogen automotive lightbulbs, the NightGuide bulbs are made to deliver specific illumination to three distinct visual zones in order to create the best possible nighttime visibility and safety. In the centre zone, the light will provide a white light with a beam of up to 50 feet longer than standard Halogens; in the right zone, blue light is used to provide increased readability of road signs and markers; the left zone, a warmer yellow light reduces glare for oncoming cars.
