Ideal Supply Company Ltd. announced that for the third year in a row it has earned the status as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. The company was a winner of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies program in 2007 and continues this excellence as a Requalified member again in 2009.

Canada’s Best Managed Companies award is recognized as a mark of excellence for Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $10 million. Hundreds of companies compete each year for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates management skills and practices.

“We believe that there are three vital building blocks to sustainable growth: strategy, capability and commitment. Ideal Supply has demonstrated it is a model of success in all three areas and is duly awarded one of Canada’s Best Managed,” said John Hughes, Partner, Private Company Services Group with Deloitte, a national sponsor of the Best Managed program.

A distributor of NAPA auto parts and electrical supplies, Ideal Supply was recognized for its capability to address various business challenges, including new technology, brand management, leadership, leveraging core competencies and hiring outstanding talent to facilitate growth. These practices and investments have enabled the company to offer “best-in-class” service to their customers -automotive aftermarket installers, industrial facilities and electrical contractors.

Based in Listowel, Ontario since 1926, this privately-owned company has successfully grown to 28 branch locations throughout southwestern Ontario.
