A team from Toronto’s Centennial College scored a strong second place finish in New York on March 29 and 30th at the National Automotive Technology Competition. Held in conjunction with the New York Auto Show, 35 two-person teams from across North America participated. The sole Canadian entry was Team Mazda, with students Nelson Carvalho and Thomas Miliauskas along with teacher Tony Rende from Toronto’s Central Technical High School. The team qualified by winning the Toronto Automotive Technology Competition on February 17th. Nelson and Thomas had their no-start test vehicle running in less than five minutes.
