AML Auto Service in Toronto held a consumer car care clinic in Toronto in early June in order to raise public awareness about the independent service provider community and the importance of regular automobile maintenance.

The event was hosted by Mohamed Bouchama of the television show Car Help Canada, Phil Edmonston author of the Lemon-Aid books, and Alan Gelman, owner of GlennAlan Motors and host of Car Talk on CFRB 1010. Some 200 consumers came to the clinic, according to Gelman, many of whom had their questions concerning their vehicles answered by the hosts.

“What we try to do with these events is to emphasize to people the importance of getting their cars regularly serviced and to do so with a reputable and trained independent service representative,” Gelman added. “At the event, we did some basic car inspections for those who attended and helped answer some (automotive) issues.”
