DaimlerChrysler’s new ‘segment-buster’ 2004 Chrysler Pacifica sports tourer will be built in the firm’s Windsor, Ontario plant where the company currently builds its Chrysler and Dodge minivans (MPVs). The new model will use DaimleChrysler’s 3.5L V6 engine, but will have a unique platform. A new flexible manufacturing system will allow co-production with minivans on the same line.
